- Be sure to contact CSC at 1-800-343-9000 and request "Security Packet A" for batch transmission in real time. Filling out this document will properly setup your host system access so you can submit requests by computer to CSC.
- NEW(02-12-05): Some Users are being denied access to the host system because of paperwork and red tape. If this is your issue - WE CAN STILL HELP YOU! - We are currently interfacing to EMEDNY Exchange! This would allow you to send batched transaction over the internet (NOT real time) with an average 2-3 hour return response! CONTACT US TODAY!
- The demo allows a maximum of 5 records to be entered and submitted in a batch.
- Before using the program, you must configure the default setup.
- The default user properties and default communication properties are found under the maintenance menu.
- In communication properties, be sure to check that the proper port is selected that matches the modem setup (For Example COM2).
- If you need to dial any additional codes to get an outside line (For Example 9) then add that code followed by a comma to the phone numbers on the phone #'s tab (For Example 9,18664883714).
- In user properties, be sure to update the name, ETIN, and default values used when you import from a file, such as, service type (can be found on ePaces), Taxonomy (Usually blank), Release of info (usually "A"), and Exempt From Copay (Usually "No").
- The HCPCS Codes found on the codes tab are default values used when you import from a file, if you are aware of different values, then update them.
- To Begin entering requests, you can open the existing "Demo Group" to work with or create a "New" group.
- You can import 5 records using the same import file used by the old Medicaid Eligibility Software Version 4.x, or you can manually enter the data by clicking the ADD icon on the toolbar.
- Adding records manually is as easy as selecting the request type and entering the data needed at the prompts. If you are confused about what data to enter, feel free to contact us for help.
- Adds, changes, and deletes can all be performed from the toolbar icons. When in edit mode, to save the data, click "OK" at the bottom of the screen.
- Click the arrows on the top-right of the screen to move through the records.
- When you are ready to send data, click the send option on the menu bar. On the submenu click "current record", "selective records" or "all records".
- When the batch transmission is complete, you can review the responses by clicking on the results tab for each request.
- If you get a rejection, you can try matching the error with an error description in the CSC Error List document link provided in your start menu.
